TV shows

TV Shows (STRANGER THINGS)

- The opening
establishing shot clearly shows the characters are playing a game and are in a group. This both sets the scene for the following actions and shows this is before internet are other technology this is set in the 1800 century.
-The close up clearly shows how the Person who is scared and frightened with the sweat over his eyes and deep breathing which shows his emotions and his facial expression.
-The over the shoulder shot clearly shows that the man in 1.24 is scared and behind him is a scary creature which make the audience feel excited for the movie and shows the main part of it.

The power between the two key characters is shown using camera angles. The high angle on the demogorgan shows that it has power and the kid has no power and is defence less, the child looks scared and frighted which makes him panic and fall over his bike.

As the actors are playing the game they want to get the audience involved by playing with them and screaming for another actor to role a dice with a high number and makes the audience excited and have anxiety.
This all changes the scene when Will(The actor) is going home on his bike and suddenly he sees a shadow in front of him and changes the scene into a horror and gives everyone a shock which would make the audience interested more.

Camerawork - photo storyboard

The Photo storyboard: Bullying.
its a normal angle to show that nothing is going on right now and that its a normal day.
The picture on top shows that 'the bully' has power of the person whos getting bullied and shows that hes mean to the person.

The bully is shocked and supersized to see the bully next to him and its a power picture because of the angle its taken.
This also shows that  the bully is going to make the other person sad by smacking the book out the persons hand.

This is another angle of how it looked with the background.
This is the object that got smacked out the persons hand.

Mise-En-Scene Stranger things Analysis.

Mise-En-Scene Stranger Things Analysis
Lightning: The lights would be flashing red and white in the hospital and would be dark in the forest when he gets home and in the shed his lights flash and then gets brighter and the old lights would also show that this was set in the 80's and that the flashing lights show that  they could be in just the power or something else.

setting; The lights are dark and in the hospital are flashing lights and red lights with a man running from something which will make the audience feel strange and makes a terrifying piece of drama. The other part was with the game that had a creature called a demogorgan and after The character went back and saw it which he went into a forest which would make the scene scary and shocking to the audinece which is more like entertaining. The flashing lights when the creature comes close is to show that its near by and prepares the audience for him to show up.

Costume: The costumes are made from the 80's era to show that the thing took place in that time we can see this in the red jackets and the old phones which would show how old it was, The adults wear boot cut jeans and the hair shows it has well with the curl hair and the old TV's.
